The Story
Crochet 2: A Hat is a relaxed, hands-on class where you'll learn how to work in the round while making a cozy hat of your own.
In this session, you'll build on the skills from Crochet 1 as you transition from flat crochet to shaping and working in the round. You'll learn to begin working in the round, join rounds smoothly, maintain even tension, and shape your stitches to form a hat. Along the way, you'll get tips to make crochet in the round feel comfortable and fun.
Crocheting a hat is a satisfying project that gives you real experience for future projects - mittens, tops, sweaters! - and increases your confidence.
What you'll learn
- How to start crocheting in the round
- Working continuous rounds
- Increasing and shaping for fit
- Tips for finishing neatly
